Cooley Science Library



Located in McGregory Hall, Cooley Science Library serves the natural sciences, mathematics, computer science, and psychology. It provides students with approximately 44,000 book volumes in the Library of Congress classifications of Science (Q) and Technology (T), print and digital journals, and study spaces, course reserves and personal research assistance.

By walking eastward between of the reference stacks and the rear wall of the elevator, one enters The East Room. Students who study here insist on a strict atmosphere of silence. Carrels are first come, first serve.
There are study carrels in the middle of, and around the perimeter, of the East Room. Additionally, there are a few computers in some of the perimeter carrels.

Cooley has an ADA compliant study room that is available for 4-hour reserve. Check out the key at the Circulation desk.
Cooley has 6 Senior Thesis Rooms available to students. Seniors writing honors theses with a declared science major have priority in room assignment. Room assignments are for one semester. Thesis room assignment is by lottery. For more information, inquire at the Circulation desk.

Over here is the “Mosh Pit of Learning” most of the computers in Cooley are here, as well as printers and several study tables. When library classes are held in Cooley, they are held here. Also, the Science Librarian’s office is on the east side of the Mosh Pit.
